On a bit of a whim, I rushed over to Formby beach for a maternity session to make the most of the first clear February evening, and oh how I’m glad we did. Formby beach is perhaps my favourite photo location to date. Being from the south west coast (sunny Dorset) myself, the beach pulls me in with its undulating waves, bringing me a total sense of calm.
We began exploring Formby’s grassy sand dunes with Chloe's first look, taking an editorial approach to imagery and posing. Just as the sun began its descent, we ventured over to Formby’s low-tide shore. Chloe fully sunk into the moment, even dipping into the cold waters.
Maternity sessions like these are more than just a photoshoot; they are a beautiful celebration of the journey into motherhood, honouring your body as it nurtures the new life within. It can also be incredibly empowering and an affirming act of self-confidence.
