Chelsea Old Town Hall Wedding: An Intimate Wedding Inspiration Shoot with Izzi + James
I loooveeed this shoot! The intention behind our Chelsea Old Town Hall wedding shoot was to refine our skills and familiarize ourselves with this iconic London venue as well as some beautiful wedding photo spots around Chelsea. Charlotte (a fab photographer friend) and I set out to capture the timelessness and elegance of a Chelsea wedding, embracing the busy city energy of London.
With a simple but elegant dress from Wilderness Bride and a stunning editorial-style bouquet from Gilly Rose, the vision effortlessly came to life. We arrived at Chelsea Old Town Hall on a typically overcast London day—but thankfully, no rain (I’ll take that win).

Why Chelsea Old Town Hall?
I love intimate weddings. Micro weddings are filled with an incredible amount of love and connection. With the day stripped back to just the bride, groom, and their closest friends and family, every moment feels more intimate and meaningful. We knew this Wedding shoot needed to emulate the vibe of a micro wedding and so we looked into Chelsea Old Town Hall.

The max capacity for Chelsea Old Town Hall is in the Brydon room which holds up to 38 guests, followed by the Rosetti room which seats up to 12. The Harrington is a tiny room which seats 8! For me, the biggest draw of this venue is its iconic entrance—a stunning backdrop for confetti photos, couple portraits, and group shots, making it an absolute dream for wedding photography. When it comes to town halls, Chelsea Old Town Hall stands out as one of the most beautiful town hall venues and with the surrounding area of Kensington and Chelsea, you’re spoilt for choice for wedding photography.

Wedding Photo Locations for Chelsea Weddings
We explored some stunning locations around Chelsea to shoot couple portraits of Izzi and James. From Oakley Street to Glebe Place and Margaretta Terrace, the area is filled with backdrops perfect for wedding photography.

To wrap up the session, we headed to Dovehouse Green, where Izzi and James shared a quiet moment together on a park bench—ending the shoot on a beautifully intimate note.
